Lookup Windows
Lookup Windows Overview
Many windows in the Ditat TMS will give you the option to either type in data Id's manually or use the navigator field Search button to open a lookup window. This lookup window allows users to search through all existing records using different parameters. Users also have the option of using the Quick Search option that opens a new window with records that contain the entered characters.
You can perform a Quick Search by pressing ENTER when the cursor is inside the lookup text field. This will open a window like the one below.
This window will display all the records that contain the entered characters.
You can edit the filter criteria and click the ENTER button to search for records that include text specified.
The matched text will be displayed in bold.
Pressing the DOWN key will move the cursor to the grid.
The field you are searching through can be changed using the drop-down menu.
You can navigate through the matching records with the UP and DOWN arrow keys and select a record by clicking the ENTER key.

Using Parameters to Search
The lookup window gives you many options by which it can sort the lookup results.
Select what you are looking for from the drop-down menu. If you select all, the space to the right of the parameter will disappear.
Enter the characters for which you are searching into the space to the right of the parameter.
You can sort your lookup results using multiple different parameters.
Click the Refresh button to see the results of the lookup parameters you entered.
Example
In the image above, you can choose the Ends With sorting algorithm for the VIN Parameter. If you write '8', all the Trucks with a VIN ending in '8' will show up in the lookup results after you click the Refresh button.
