The Ditat TMS has a built-in messaging function that allows all users — including those on mobile devices — to send and receive messages. All messages are stored in the Ditat TMS database and are never routed through third-party servers, ensuring your information remains private.
Mail Window Layout
The Mail window is made up of three areas:
Toolbar – Contains action buttons for managing messages.
Message List – Displays a list of recent messages.
Message Preview – Shows a preview of the selected message.

Button/Option | Description |
Exit | Closes the Mail tab. |
New | Opens a new tab to compose a message. |
Reply | Opens a new tab to reply to the selected message. |
Delete | Deletes the selected message. |
Refresh | Checks for new messages. |
Load older | Loads messages from the previous month. Click multiple times to load additional months. |
Folder | Switches between the Inbox and Sent folders. |
Reading and Navigating Mail
Messages are automatically synced every 10 minutes. To check for new messages manually, click the Refresh button on the toolbar.
When the Mail window is opened, messages from the last month are loaded automatically. To view older messages, click Load Older on the toolbar. Each click loads messages from one additional month prior.

Composing a Message
Click New to compose a new message, or Reply to respond to a selected message. Both options open a new tab where you can write your message. Click Send when ready.
Messages sent to mobile device users are delivered via push notification and are typically received within seconds.
Message Notifications
The system automatically checks for new messages every 10 minutes. When a new message arrives, a notification appears in the top right of the screen regardless of whether the Mail tab is currently open.

Messages with Attachments
Ditat Mobile Dispatch users can send messages that include photo attachments. To open an attachment, click the thumbnail within the message — it will open in a new window. Each attachment can also be downloaded individually to your computer as a JPG image.
Tracking Message Statistics
To see whether and when a message was read, click the icon located to the left of the recipient list in the sent message.
