Record IDs

Many windows in the Ditat Platform have a Record ID. This identification functions the same throughout the system.

Creating a Record ID

To create a record Id, you will first need to understand the functionality of the 'Tab' key vs the 'Enter' key. The tab key is the only key that can be used to create a new record. First, type in the new record Id then press 'Tab' to create a new record. If the record already exists, Ditat will open that record. Enter is used as a search lookup. Type the whole or partial record Id in the lookup field to search for a record using those specific characters.

ID Requirements

In Ditat Record IDs are used for users, drivers, trucks, etc., and must follow a specific set of rules.

The identification names must be no longer than 25 characters utilizing letters, numbers, and only specific special characters.

Valid characters for ID’s:

ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZabcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz0123456789-.,&/:;#)(
