Dispatch Set up Options control default settings throughout the Dispatch Module.
Shipment reference numbers

Field | Description |
Reference 1-5 | The label entered here will be used as the corresponding reference number field on all shipments. |
Required | If checked, this field must be filled in before a shipment can be saved. |
Unique | If checked, this field must contain a unique value per customer before a shipment can be saved. This check does not apply to cancelled loads or changes to already-invoiced loads. |
Defaults

Note: Confirmation sheets have two selectable options. The most commonly used are layouts with and without reference numbers from the load. There are also options for a trimmed Ditat load number, which removes the leading "TR-" and leading zeros.
Field | Description |
Equipment Type | Select the default equipment type for new shipments. |
Confirmation sheet | The layout selected here will be used for confirmation sheets printed using the Confirmation Sheet 1 option on a trip. |
Confirmation sheet 2 | The layout selected here will be used for confirmation sheets printed using the Confirmation Sheet 2 option on a trip. |
Proof of delivery | The layout selected here will be used for all Proof of Delivery documents printed from Ditat. |
Booked for | Select whether all new shipments default to Company Assets or Brokerage. To use a different default for specific customers, this can be overridden at the customer level. |
Shipment duplication | Choose whether shipments are duplicated one-by-one or using a wizard. |
Shipment auto-completion | Choose how the system adds check calls when using the auto-complete button. The default marks all check calls as 00:00 on the current date. If Appt +2hr is selected, the system will set the time-in to the scheduled appointment time and the time-out to 2 hours later. |
Default driver pay type | Sets the default pay type applied when new drivers are added. If set to Payroll, all new drivers will default to payroll and can be changed to settlement as needed. If set to Settlement, all new drivers will default to settlement and can be changed to payroll as needed. |
Booked For
This will be your default selection for all new loads. If you would like to change some customers to be different than your default selection, you may do so under the specific customer(s).
Saferwatch integration

Field | Description |
Integrate with SaferWatch | This module must be enabled by the Ditat development team. Contact sales at sales@ditat.com for details. |
Alert group | Select the group of users who will receive notifications when SaferWatch scores change for carriers assigned to or enroute on current loads. |
SaferWatch customer key | Enter your SaferWatch customer key. |
SaferWatch refresh interval | Select how often SaferWatch data should be refreshed. |
Last complete refresh on | Displays the date of the last complete SaferWatch refresh. |
Last daily sync on | Displays the date and time of the last daily sync. |
Perform complete refresh | RefreshTriggers a full refresh, pulling each carrier's current score and reloading carrier contact information |
Note: A SaferWatch integration key must be requested separately. Contact SaferWatch at 844-878-9700 to obtain your key.
Hours of service

Field | Description |
Base time zone | Select the time zone the HOS system should use. |
Rule set | Select the HOS rule set to apply to all drivers by default. Individual drivers can be assigned a different rule set on their driver profile if needed. |
24 Hour reset exception | Check if the 24-hour reset exception applies to your HOS setup. |
8 Hour break exception | Check if the 8-hour break exception applies to your HOS setup. |
Short-haul exception | Check if the short haul exception applies to your HOS setup. |
Waiting time exception | Check if the waiting time exception applies to your HOS setup. |

Field | Description |
Integrate with GPS Tracker Aggregator | This module must be enabled by the Ditat development team. Supported integrations include Fourkites, Macropoint, Project44, E4score, and 10-4. |
Integrate with Tenstreet | Pulls driver information data into Ditat. |
Integrate with MyCarrierPackets | Pulls carrier documentation into Ditat. Requires SaferWatch to be active in order to pull carrier data. |
Planning board

Field | Description |
Mode | Select the mode for the Planning Board. Pre-Planning — the board is pre-filled with truck locations from the TMS, but trucks are only moved forward by manually pre-planning them on the board. This is the intended mode for most companies. Fix Burnt Trucks — the board is pre-filled with truck locations and moving forward shows trucks as available based on their latest delivery date or pre-planned location. Real-Time Sync — the board continuously moves trucks to new locations based on the latest delivery time of all assigned trips. In this mode, trucks cannot be moved manually. Copy shipment notes to trips after split | If checked, notes added on the Planning Board will be copied to both trips when a load is split. If unchecked, notes will be lost after the split. |
Driver match | Choose how drivers are displayed on the Planning Board. Last Trip Assignment shows the last driver assigned to the truck. Per Setup shows only drivers assigned to a truck on their driver profile. |
Pickup/Destination display | Choose whether shipments display City/State or Location ID for pickup and delivery. |
Id to display | Choose which reference ID is displayed on the Planning Board — either the standard shipment ID or any of the five shipment reference fields. |
Dispatch board

Field | Description |
Use GPS from trailers | Checked by default. When enabled, the system uses the trailer's GPS pings for load tracking and ETA calculations. |
Use GPS from trucks | Checked by default. When enabled, the system uses the truck's GPS pings for load tracking and ETA calculations. |
Use GPS from drivers | Checked by default. When enabled, the system uses the driver's mobile device GPS pings for load tracking and ETA calculations. |
Avg single MPH | Enter the average speed used to calculate ETAs for single-driver trips. |
Avg team MPH | Enter the average speed used to calculate ETAs for team-driver trips. |
Avg with HOS MPH | Enter the average speed used to calculate ETAs when integrated with Hours of Service. |
Live Track | Determine what type of live tracking is provided to customers. Options are Disabled, Strict (only shows tracking while on the expected route), or Show Out of Route. |
Check Calls via Email

Note: Check call emails are sent on a 5-minute interval after they are accepted.

Notify group | Select the group of users who will be notified when there are issues emailing check calls to customers. |
Email account | Select the email account that will be used to send check call emails to customers. |
Pickup time in | Select the email template to use for this check call type. |
Pickup time out | Select the email template to use for this check call type. |
Delivery time in | Select the email template to use for this check call type. |
Delivery time out | Select the email template to use for this check call type. |
Status | Select the email template to use for status check calls. |
Track Status | Select the email template to use for Track Status check calls. |
Track Status Frequency | Select how often Track Status notifications are sent — every 1, 2, 3, or 4 hours — regardless of whether new check calls have been entered. |
Max retry count | Enter the number of times the system will attempt to resend a failed check call email. |
Auto Dispatch

User | Displays the monthly scan limit set for your account. |
Default profile | Select the AI parsing provider to use for rate confirmations. Current options are Default, AWS Claude, or OpenAI. |
Rate confirmation AI Parsing

Field | Description |

Enabled | Use this option to disable the generation of GPS check calls. |
Quota | Displays the monthly scan limit set for your account. |
Provider | Select the AI parsing provider to use for rate confirmations. Current options are Default, AWS Claude, or OpenAI. |
GPS Pending check calls

Field | Description |
Generate | Use this option to disable the generation of GPS check calls. |
Geofence radius | The radius around a location within which the system will consider a unit to be at that location. The default is 0.3 miles. |
Out of route threshold | The maximum distance a unit can travel off-route and still have an ETA calculated. |
Mobile dispatch pending check calls

Field | Description |
Timeliness of GPS pings (minutes) | How recent a GPS ping must be relative to the last check call for the system to count it as a GPS match. The default is 30 minutes. |
Max distance from location (miles) | How close to a location a GPS ping must be for the system to count it as a GPS match. The default is 1 mile. |
Correction speed (MPH) | The speed allowance used to match a driver's location to the stop location on a pending check call. The default is 0 MPH. |
Split manager

Field | Description |
Bobtail from split point as default | If checked, the system will automatically add a bobtail from the split point when splitting a trip. |
Trip assignment wizard

Field | Description |
Include 'assigned' when suggesting trucks | If checked, trucks already assigned to other trips will be included in suggestions, allowing you to identify nearby trucks that may be a better fit for the load. |
Use scheduled arrival when suggesting trucks | If checked, the system will include trucks scheduled to deliver before the pickup time for this trip, helping you assign loads to trucks that will be available. |
Require note on Bobtail | If checked, a note is required any time bobtail is added in the trailer assignment wizard. |
Pre-fill driver | The assignment wizard will pre-select the driver from Planning Board data unless disabled by selecting None. |
Pre-fill trailer | The assignment wizard will pre-select the trailer from Planning Board data unless disabled by selecting None. |
Pre-fill unloaded origin | The assignment wizard will pre-select the unloaded origin from Planning Board data unless disabled by selecting None. |
Show vendor tab | If selected, the vendors tab will be visible in the trip assignment wizard. Up to 6 vendors can be assigned. |
Show return stop tab | If selected, the return stop tab will be visible in the trip assignment wizard. Useful for frequent round trips or when drivers regularly return to a terminal or home location. |
Dispatch rules
Dispatch rules can be set to Don't Check or Required. When set to Required, the rule must be satisfied before a trip can be saved. For example, if the Driver License rule is set to Required, a driver with an expired license cannot be saved to a trip.
Don't Check — the rule is ignored.
Required — a validation will appear when saving if the rule is not met.

Truck_Tags | Checks whether the truck's tags are expired. |
Trainee | Requires the trainee to be assigned as the secondary driver with a trainer as the primary. |
Team_Second | Prevents a secondary team driver from being assigned as the primary driver on a trip. |
Truck_Owner_CO | Restricts company drivers to running loads only in company-owned trucks. |
Truck_Owner_OO | Restricts lessor drivers to running loads only in trucks assigned to the same lessor profile. |
Team | Requires team drivers to be assigned to the same lessor profile. |
Carrier_Insurance | Requires carriers to have insurance on file for brokerage loads. |
Hazmat | Requires hazmat loads to be assigned to a driver with a hazmat endorsement. |
Driver_Truck | Requires the truck used on the trip to be assigned to the driver's profile. |
Shipment_Revenue | Requires the shipment to have a rate entered before it can be dispatched. |
Driver_Physical | Checks whether the driver's physical expiration has passed. |
Truck_Service | Checks whether the truck's Next Service On date has passed. |
Truck_Inspection | Checks whether the truck's Next Inspection date has passed. |
Trailer_Inspection | Checks whether the trailer's Next Inspection date has passed. |
Truck_Insurance | Checks whether the truck has current insurance on file. |
Carrier_Customer_Insnc | For brokerage loads, checks whether the carrier's total coverage meets the insurance requirements specified on the customer profile. |
