Set Up Document Folders
Navigation: Document Management → Set Up Document Folders
All documents in Ditat TMS are attached to specific entities such as drivers, trailers, and customers. This screen allows you to create and organize folders for each entity type and control which user groups can access them.

Field | Description |
Data type | Click a data type to view the folders associated with it. Each data type comes pre-configured with a Default folder where new documents are placed automatically. |
Document folders | Additional folders can be created for each data type by clicking Add Folder, entering a name, and clicking OK. |
Note: Folders can be secured to specific user groups. Only users in the assigned group will be able to view documents stored in that folder.

Document Storage Limits
Document Type | Storage Period |
|---|---|
Shipment, Invoice, and Settlement documents | 3 months, then archived. The archive file location will be noted on the record. |
Truck, Trailer, Driver, Customer, and most other documents | 10 years |
