Fuel surcharge tables define the correct surcharge amount to charge per mile (or as a percentage of linehaul) based on the current fuel price.
Fuel Surcharge Table Fields

Fuel Surcharge
Field | Description |
Schedule Id | Can be up to 25 characters and must be unique within the system. If you enter an ID that already exists, that fuel surcharge table will be loaded for editing. Otherwise, a new table will be created. |
Active | Check this box if this fuel surcharge table is currently in use. If unchecked, the table will not be available for selection on rate plans. |
Payment type | Select the payment type to use for this fuel surcharge table. |
Schedule type | Select whether the fuel surcharge should be calculated as an Amount Per Mile or a Percentage of Linehaul. This selection changes the table column to either Surcharge or Percentage accordingly. |
Days off set Fuel Price | Fuel PriceChoose whether to offset the fuel price schedule. Select None to use the dates set on the Fuel Prices screen, or offset by 1, 2, or 3 days to shift the start and end dates accordingly. |
Fuel price to use | Select which fuel price record the system should reference for this table. |
Add | Adds a new price range line to the surcharge table. |
Delete | Deletes all checked surcharge lines from the table. |
Per gallon from | The starting price per gallon for this surcharge line. |
Per gallon to | The ending price per gallon for this surcharge line. |
Surcharge | The per-mile surcharge rate to apply when the current fuel price falls within this range. Only visible when Schedule Type is set to Amount Per Mile. |
Percentage | The percentage of linehaul to apply when the current fuel price falls within this range. Only visible when Schedule Type is set to Percent of Linehaul. |
Tip: When building a surcharge table, the system will auto-suggest values for all additional lines based on the pattern it detects from the 2nd and 3rd lines when you click Add.
