Report Manager
In this section |
Ditat reports will have many parameters that can be used to change the data that is shown on reports. This will allow 1 report to be run many different ways depending on the parameters that are selected.
Parameter Types
Ditat will use different parameter types for reports here we will list some of those types of parameters and how they can be used.
Type | Description |
Dates | When dates are used you can run the report by the date range selected. When using dates you should only use the dates you really want to use as the more dates that are used will limit the data displayed. |
Text boxes | When there is a blank text box you can enter a string of data to be used to filter the report by. Common text boxes would be Cities, Shipment numbers on Audit reports, Fuel Card numbers. When text boxes are being used you do not need to use the full number the system will use the string of data provided and show only information that includes that string. |
Look up | Look up filters will allow you to select a specific record to use for reporting. Commonly Look ups will be for selecting specific Trucks, Trailers, Drivers, Users to report on. |
Drop down | Drop downs will allow you to select a type of record to show from a list. Drop downs are commonly used for selecting states, types of drivers, types of loads, etc. |
Custom Groups | Custom groups will allow you to select what groups you want to report on. The pencil next to the All groups box can be used to select which custom groups to report on. Custom groups are commonly used for selecting truck, trailer, driver or customer custom groups. These custom groups can be defined and managed on the Custom groups screen in the System module. Scheduled reports
Reports can be scheduled to run using the Scheduled Report function on the top of the reports parameter page.
The Scheduled reports feature can be limited by user groups, this means not all users can schedule reports to run, they would need that security enabled on their user group.
Schedule reports using the Schedule report box at the top of the page.
If a report is scheduled to be run you will see a list of the scheduled reports at the bottom of the screen, you can edit the parameters to be used on the reports here as well.
