Description |
|
Username |
A username can be up to 25 characters long and must be unique within the system. If you enter a username that already exists, the existing user record will be retrieved for editing. If the username does not exist, a new user record will be created. Click here for information on how to use the Record ID field. |
|
Email address |
Must be unique and valid. The Ditat TMS has email integration, and valid email addresses improve overall system functionality. |
|
Copy mail to Email |
Specifies whether mail sent to this user should also be delivered via email. This can be disabled for drivers or users who do not need email notifications. |
|
Password |
The user's password is case-sensitive and must be between 6 and 10 characters in length. |
|
Time Zone |
Sets the user's time zone, which is useful for distributed teams. Each user will see tracking information and messages displayed in their local time. |
|
Locked out |
When checked, prevents the user from logging in to the system. |
|
Security question and answer |
Used to verify the user's identity when a password reset is needed. |
|
Secure To |
Assigns the user to one or more user groups. The default TMS comes pre-configured with three groups. Accounting team members should be assigned to the Accounting group, and dispatchers should be assigned to the Dispatchers group. |
Note: A user group cannot have more than one main role assigned. Additionally, a user cannot be added to groups that have more than one Main Role.
Changing Password
When editing an existing user, the password fields will appear empty. To change the user's password, enter the new password in both password fields and click Save.
