Securing Your Account with 2FA

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds a vital layer of security to your Ditat TMS account by requiring a 6-digit verification code alongside your standard username and password.

Before You Begin

You must choose one of the following methods to generate your security codes:

  • Option 1: Mobile Authenticator App (Recommended)

    • Install a free app like Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator from your phone's app store.

    • Any standard TOTP-compatible app will work.

  • Option 2: Browser Extension or Password Manager

    • Use a desktop solution if you prefer not to use a mobile phone.

    • Compatible tools include Bitwarden, 1Password, or specialized browser extensions.

Critical Security: Recovery Codes

Immediately after setup, the system will display single-use recovery codes.

  • Purpose: These unlock your account if you lose your phone or delete your app.

  • Action: Copy these codes into a text file named DitatRecoveryCodes.txt.

  • Storage: Save this file in a secure, backed-up location outside of your authenticator device.

Future Logins

Once 2FA is active, your login routine changes slightly:

  1. Enter your Ditat TMS username and password.

  2. Open your authenticator application or extension.

  3. Enter the current 6-digit code. (Note: Codes expire and change every 30 seconds).
